Summer Festival Programme 2012

The Barnet Residents Association is pleased to be promoting the High Barnet Summer Festival, which runs from 1st June 2012 to 2nd July 2012.

Theatre in the Park Sundays 3pm: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (17th June), “Tales of Peter Rabbit” (24th June), “Twelfth Night” (1st July) -- The stream in the woodland arena has been flooding, and we have had to move the location to be next to Oak Hill Park Café, on the corner of Church Hill Road and Parkside Gardens. Parking is in nearby roads or in the car park off Parkside Gardens EN4 8JS

The starting time of the Family Fun Day at Ravenscroft Gardens on July 1st has been made earlier -- it now runs from 12.30 to 4.30.

7pm   The Gambler Bull Theatre Theatre Re presents The Gambler, an enthralling visual tale combining movement, live music and new writing. The Gambler is the story of Edgar, an old man trapped in his past. As he confronts his addiction, he wonders if his decisions were truly his own. Each spin of the wheel recalls the promise of a life he could have had. He gambles to remember, he gambles to forget. Doors open 6.30pm. Duration 50 mins. £8, concessions £6

8pm   Barnet Band Open Rehearsal At the front of Barnet College, Wood Street Barnet's oldest musical organisation invites wind and brass players to come along and join them in a rehearsal, or just turn up and hear them rehearse for their summer programme. Free

11am   Babar The Elephant Waterstones, The Spires In association with Waterstones Barnet, we are delighted to announce Jean de Brunhoff's timeless hero 'Babar The Elephant' will be visiting the Spires Shopping Centre on Saturday 23rd June. Come along and meet this popular book character who has been enchanting children for over 80 years.
